Bitcoin's Price Stability Masks Underlying Market Fragility
Bitcoin has continued to hold its price near $66,300 despite growing signs that traders are becoming less aggressive behind the scenes.
According to on-chain analyst Axel Adler Jr., stablecoins have been leaving crypto exchanges for 35 consecutive days, indicating a shrinking market buying power.
The 30-day moving average of stablecoin exchange flows has remained below 0, with a recent drop below -$100M, suggesting that capital is leaving exchanges rather than waiting on the sidelines for Bitcoin purchases.
Stablecoins such as USDT and USDC act as crypto's reserve liquidity, providing traders with more capital to rotate into Bitcoin and other assets. However, the current trend shows the opposite, with stablecoin liquidity being withdrawn.
