Rakuten Wallet Expands Crypto Offerings with Five New Coins

Rakuten Wallet, a digital arm of the retail giant Rakuten, has made significant additions to its cryptocurrency portfolio by introducing five new coins for spot trading.

The expanded offerings include XRP, Stellar (XLM), Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB), and Toincoin (TON). This move is expected to increase trading activity in the Japanese crypto market from April 15, 2026, when these coins will be available for spot trading.

The inclusion of XRP, a widely recognized cryptocurrency, is particularly significant as it positions Rakuten Wallet to benefit from the growing adoption of Ripple's ecosystem. The addition of top meme coins like SHIB and DOGE also taps into the vibrant retail investor market.
