Tillis Stands Firm on Ethics Provisions for Crypto Bill
Washington DC - US Senator Thom Tillis has announced that he will not support the Senate's crypto market structure bill unless it includes ethics provisions.
Tillis, a senior member of the Senate Banking Committee, made the statement in an interview with Politico. He stated that 'there has to be ethics language in the bill before it leaves the Senate' or he would oppose it.
The bill is intended to clarify how the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and Securities and Exchange Commission regulate cryptocurrencies, but it has been plagued by delays due to disagreements over provisions on stablecoin yield payments and ethics.
