$XRP Integration Rumors Denied by Former SWIFT Executive
Former SWIFT executive Tom Zschach has denied rumors that the global financial messaging network plans to integrate or support $XRP. The claims, which circulated on social media, suggested that SWIFT would work with established public tokens rather than create its own digital asset.
Zschach directly rejected the claim, stating 'not happening' and questioning the basis of the online reports. This is not the first time Zschach has challenged $XRP-related claims, having previously questioned whether banks would use a volatile public token for settlement and criticized claims that Ripple could replace established financial infrastructure.
SWIFT is currently developing a blockchain-based shared ledger for cross-border payments, which aims to connect tokenized commercial bank deposits and support 24-hour international payments. The project centers on regulated bank liabilities rather than a public cryptocurrency, weakening claims that SWIFT has selected $XRP for direct integration.
