IG Europe Bolsters Crypto Services Through Bitpanda Partnership

IG Europe has entered into a strategic partnership with Bitpanda to expand its cryptocurrency services across the European region. The London-listed trading group will utilize Bitpanda's infrastructure to provide regulated access to digital assets, enabling IG's clients to trade cryptocurrencies in a compliant environment.

The partnership will enable IG to tap into Bitpanda's licensed infrastructure, which has been approved under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework. This allows for passporting across European Union member states, facilitating the expansion of IG's crypto services beyond its UK base.

IG Europe already boasts a significant client base, with over 1.3 million clients worldwide. The company has reported a revenue of £331.2 million in the first quarter of 2026, with spot crypto accounting for £2.4 million. This represents a small but growing segment of IG's overall business.
