XRP Ledger developer Wietse Wind has sounded the alarm on a growing threat to XRP wallet holders. Scammers are sending fake non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that mimic legitimate offers, attempting to trick unsuspecting victims into trading something of value.

The scammers copy or duplicate offers from wallets and mint new NFTs for sale, often through fake websites or social media accounts. Wind has emphasized the importance of verifying wallet addresses before accepting any offer, warning users not to engage with suspicious activity.
