Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse Rejects XRP Maximalist Ideology
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has expressed his stance on the XRP maximalist ideology, stating that he is not an advocate for it. In a recent interview, Garlinghouse emphasized the importance of a multi-chain world and the need for cooperation between different cryptocurrencies.
Garlinghouse's views are in line with his previous statements on the topic. In January 2025, he posted on X, saying that maximalism is 'the enemy of crypto progress.' He also owns XRP, Bitcoin, and Ethereum, as he believes in a level playing field for all cryptocurrencies.
Ripple has conducted a survey of over 1,000 finance leaders worldwide, which found that 72% believe companies must now offer digital asset solutions to remain competitive. The survey also revealed that 74% of interviewees think stablecoins are the future treasury tool, and 97% prioritize security above all other features.
