Newcastle's Bamba Signing Sets Stage for BYDFi Partnership Spotlight

Newcastle United has made headlines again, this time for signing 20-year-old midfielder Aladji Bamba from AS Monaco in a deal worth approximately £35M. The agreement includes a 15% sell-on clause, meaning Monaco keeps a future stake in whatever Bamba is worth down the road.

The high-profile transfer has put Newcastle's partnership with crypto exchange BYDFi back in the spotlight. The multi-year partnership was announced in August 2025 and focuses on fan engagement and outreach.

Monaco, the selling club, runs a fan token ecosystem through their ASM token on the Chiliz blockchain via Socios.com. The token currently trades at around $0.064 with a market cap of roughly $420K.
