US Sanctions 134 ISIS-K Crypto Wallets, Freezing Over $1 Million

The US Treasury Department has taken significant action against ISIS-K's crypto operations by sanctioning over 100 wallet addresses, collectively blocking $1.4 million in funds.

The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) added the 134 addresses to its Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list on July 1, with Tether promptly freezing USDT balances across 131 of those wallets.

Blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis provided the forensic analysis that led to this action, finding that the TRON wallets had received over $1.4 million and sent more than $880,000 since 2023.

This is not an isolated incident; OFAC has targeted ISIS-linked crypto infrastructure before, with a separate designation in June 2026 targeting a different financial facilitator network.
