Bhutan Government Continues Bitcoin Sell-Off Amid Crypto Market Downturn
The Bhutan government has been actively selling its Bitcoin holdings in recent times, with the latest move being a significant one. According to on-chain records, the government-linked wallets shifted over $18 million worth of BTC today, with two major transactions involving 162.047 BTC and 69.707 BTC.
The total value of these transactions is approximately $17.12 million, which brings the country's total Bitcoin outflows to 3,247 BTC in 2026. Moreover, its holdings have reduced to 3,524 BTC from a peak of 13K BTC registered in October 2024.
