Telegram to Launch Native Non-Custodial Crypto Wallet for Over 10 Billion Users

Telegram's CEO Pavel Durov announced on July 21 that the messaging app will introduce a new native non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet called Gram Wallet, scheduled for launch this summer.

The wallet will be available to over 10 billion users and will enable instant and fee-free cryptocurrency transactions. According to Durov, this will be 'the largest-scale rollout of non-custodial cryptocurrency wallets in human history.'

Telegram currently offers two types of wallets: a custodial crypto wallet called Crypto Wallet and a non-custodial DeFi Account (formerly known as TON Wallet). However, the relationship between Gram Wallet and these existing wallets is unclear.
