Pipe Network Unveils SolanaCDN to Boost Validator Performance on the Solana Blockchain

Pipe Network has introduced SolanaCDN, an open-source validator client that combines a free, open-source Solana validator client with an integrated CDN acceleration layer. This innovative solution aims to improve shred propagation speed on the Solana blockchain by leveraging Pipe's global network of 35,000+ PoP nodes.

The client and CDN layer are both completely free, making it accessible to all Solana validators. By providing faster shred delivery, SolanaCDN enables validators to vote sooner and earn more rewards. The platform also includes built-in optimizations such as optimized shred coalescing for leaders (Fast Shreds) and snapshot downloads from Pipe's global network.

The technical design of SolanaCDN is based on a fully compatible Agave fork, allowing validators to install it as a drop-in replacement for their existing client. The CDN layer is optional and can be activated with a single configuration flag, ensuring that it does not modify block production or consensus logic.
