Cryptocurrency Market Slips as Top Three Players Show Signs of Weakness
The cryptocurrency market is experiencing a downturn as three of its largest players, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Ripple, show signs of weakness. Momentum indicators suggest that the bears are in control, with each of these top three cryptocurrencies facing challenges.
Bitcoin has slipped below $69,000, which marks the midpoint of its parallel channel. The price is now below the 50-day and 100-day Exponential Moving Averages, which continue to cap the broader upside and frame the current advance as a corrective bounce within a broader pullback.
Ethereum, on the other hand, faces rejection from the 50-day EMA near $2,190. The price is below both the 50-day and 100-day EMAs, which continue to slope lower and cap the upside. Momentum indicators, such as the RSI and MACD, suggest fading bullish momentum and building downside pressure.
XRP's momentum indicators are also signaling weakening upside strength. The price has been rejected from the midpoint of its descending channel, and daily closes remain well beneath the 50-day and 100-day EMAs.
