BitMine Stock Surges on Ethereum Accumulation Plans
BitMine's stock price has rebounded in recent days, reaching its highest level in over a month. The company's share price has surged 32% from its year-to-date low, with investors anticipating BitMine's transition from a cash-burning business to a potential free cash flow machine.
In an effort to accumulate Ethereum tokens, BitMine has continued buying ETH, now holding approximately $11.5 billion worth of the cryptocurrency. According to CoinGecko data, the company holds over 5.77 million ETH coins, with a goal to reach 6 million coins by August or September.
BitMine's business model involves accumulating ETH and staking it to generate a monthly return. With a staking yield of 3%, the company is expected to make approximately $180,000 in annual income from its ETH holdings. The value of these coins will depend on the underlying ETH price, which has recently reached a high of $1,933.
BitMine's cost structure is relatively unique, with less than ten employees and no debt in its balance sheet. The company's biggest expense is paying dividends to BMNP holders, which stand at under $40 million per year. Once staking revenue starts flowing in, the company will use it to pay back dividends, repurchase stock, or make venture investments.
