Visa Integrates AI Agents into Payment Network with Alchemy's AgentCard

Alchemy has launched AgentCard, a payments and identity platform for AI agents built on Visa's Intelligent Commerce. This integration gives autonomous software a way to make purchases with identity and spending controls attached.

The product is designed for AI agents built on models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and other providers. It includes features such as spending limits, budget rules, and payment controls so users or businesses can define what an agent is allowed to buy and how much it can spend.

AgentCard gives each AI agent a Visa issued payment token, a dedicated email address, a phone number, and a crypto wallet. The setup can be provisioned through a single API call.
