Autheo Launches Quantum-Secure Mainnet Amid Growing Threat of Quantum Computing

Blockchain technology has been touted as a secure way to store and transfer data, but the rise of quantum computing threatens to compromise this security. Autheo, a blockchain project, is taking steps to mitigate this threat by launching its mainnet with built-in post-quantum security.

The project's Chief Product Officer, Edward Johnson, emphasized the importance of starting with quantum security in mind. 'We're not thinking of this as a roadmap item,' he said. 'We're thinking about it, this is where we start.' Autheo follows established protocols and standards for post-quantum security, set by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Unlike other blockchain projects, such as Ethereum, which have introduced roadmaps to become quantum secure but have not yet implemented any upgrades, Autheo is starting with this security in place. This approach aims to protect against potential attacks on user wallets and identity layers.
