Tether Unveils Self-Custodial Wallet for Global User Base

Tether has released its self-custodial wallet, designed for billions of users across more than 160 countries. The wallet offers digital dollars via USD-T and USA-T, gold through XAU-T, and Bitcoin. It supports both on-chain Bitcoin transactions and Lightning Network payments.

The wallet's interface automatically surfaces available networks and balances, making it easy for users to interact with the blockchain complexity handled behind the scenes. Tether claims that nearly half of the world's population lacks access to basic financial services, and this new wallet aims to address that issue.
