Kraken Brings Crypto Trading Model to Traditional Stocks

Kraken's latest innovation brings the speed and accessibility of cryptocurrency trading to traditional stocks. The regulated perpetual futures on tokenized US stocks enable traders to access continuous, high-leverage trading 24/7, with an initial listing of major US equities and indices.

The new products are open to eligible non-US investors across more than 110 countries, with the underlying xStocks tokenized assets fully collateralized and backed 1:1 by the referenced securities. This ensures a price anchor even when US stock exchanges are closed, as the tokens can still trade in secondary markets at all hours.

The perpetual contract structure, long used in crypto, now extends to tokenized equity and commodity exposures. Traders can gain or hedge exposure using derivatives rather than directly holding the tokenized equities, which can be more capital efficient for active traders.
