FBI Joins Investigation into Disappearance of Cryptocurrency Businessman's Father

The FBI has launched an investigation into the disappearance of 74-year-old Naiping Hou, a Southern California resident who went missing three months ago. His family suspects foul play and believes his disappearance may be linked to their success in the cryptocurrency business.

Naiping Hou was last seen on March 18, 2025, and was officially reported missing on May 4, 2025. Detectives have determined that someone impersonated him using his cellphone for over a month, depleting his bank accounts before law enforcement was notified.
