Tether Records Staggering $2.5 Billion Quarterly Profit

Tether, one of the largest stablecoin issuers, has announced impressive financial results for the third quarter of 2024. The company's profits have soared to $2.5 billion, surpassing previous records and totaling $7.7 billion for the year so far.

According to Tether's latest financial report, its assets have reached a significant milestone of $134.4 billion. This growth can be attributed to the expansion of its flagship token, USDT, which has seen widespread adoption in the current bullish cryptocurrency market.

Tether's treasury holdings have also experienced a notable increase, with over 5% more cash and cash equivalents being held compared to the previous quarter. The company's CEO, Paolo Ardoino, emphasized the extensive use of its token, citing that it has been transferred by 330 million unique on-chain wallets and accounts.
