SUPERFORTUNE Grapples with GUA Security Incident Amid Address Tampering Concerns
The cryptocurrency market has been abuzz with news of the SUPERFORTUNE GUA security incident, which took place on May 27. This event triggered significant price fluctuations for the token.
According to reports from ChainCatcher, SUPERFORTUNE AI released a statement on X (formerly Twitter) stating that they are actively investigating this incident. The investigation suggests that there may have been tampering with multi-signature addresses in a transaction related to the GUA security incident.
The initial plan was to send additional unlocked tokens to an airdrop claim contract address, but during execution, these funds were mistakenly sent to another hacker's address. Notably, this hacker address had no prior interactions with SUPERFORTUNE-related addresses before, making an 'address poisoning attack' an unlikely explanation for the incident.
SUPERFORTUNE emphasizes that their internal processes include multiple address verification mechanisms as a safeguard against such incidents. The team continues to investigate and will keep the community informed about any developments in this matter.
