Brokerages and DeFi Platforms Expand Crypto Infrastructure

Interactive Brokers has introduced a new feature that enables clients to transfer supported cryptocurrencies from external wallets into their IBKR accounts without liquidating. This move aims to simplify the process of managing cryptocurrency holdings and provides clients with access to lower trading costs.

The supported assets include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and other cryptocurrencies, with custody handled through regulated partners Paxos or zerohash. The commissions for this service range from 0.12% to 0.18% of trade value, which is significantly below the industry norm.
