CFTC Welcomes DJ Hennes as Director of Market Participants Division

Regulatory changes have been made within the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The agency has announced DJ Hennes' appointment to lead its Market Participants Division.

Hennes brings extensive experience from KPMG LLP, where he served as a managing director in their Financial Services Risk & Compliance Advisory Practice. He spent 15 years at Promontory Financial Group before joining KPMG, leading the Capital Markets Practice for the Americas.

As part of his new role, Hennes' expertise will contribute to modernizing and future-proofing regulations surrounding emerging financial technologies such as crypto assets and prediction markets. His background in advising clients on governance, risk management, and compliance matters is expected to be valuable in this position.
