TrapDoor Malware Threatens Solana and Sui Blockchain Security
A new wave of attacks using TrapDoor malware has compromised the security of Solana and Sui blockchains.
The attackers have shifted their tactics from hacking protocols directly to targeting developers' systems, injecting harmful code into common registries like npm, PyPI, and Crates.io.
This makes it easier for small errors in large projects to cause significant problems, as credentials are being injected directly into production pipelines.
The malware is also designed to evade AI-powered coding tools, using zero-width Unicode characters to deceive code checkers and facilitate data theft.
This poses a significant risk of system takeover, not just identity theft, but also infrastructure compromise.
