Morgan Stanley Advances Spot ETH, SOL ETF Proposals with Latest SEC Filings
Morgan Stanley has submitted additional amendments to its proposed spot Ethereum and Solana exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The latest filings, made on July 14, build on previous proposals that outlined plans for staking the underlying assets within the ETFs. Morgan Stanley's initial applications for spot ETH and SOL ETFs were filed with the SEC in January.
The financial giant's push to offer direct exposure to two of the largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization signals a significant shift in institutional appetite for cryptocurrency-based investment products.
With the inclusion of staking, the proposed ETFs could generate yield from the underlying tokens, potentially offering a competitive advantage over similar products.
