Ton Network Pursues Agentic AI Opportunity Amid Gaming Era Fading
Ton Network has announced a major shift in its strategy, focusing on the development of autonomous AI agents rather than relying on casual games for growth. The network has introduced an open-source agentic wallet standard that enables each agent to have its own on-chain financial identity.
The new standard allows users to deploy multiple agents with independent wallets and balances, giving them full control over their funds. Each agent's wallet consists of a smart contract with two separate keys: one for the user and another for the agent. This setup enables the agent to make transactions and interact with decentralized apps without needing access to the user's main wallet or exposing user credentials.
With its integration with Telegram, Ton Network has an edge in this emerging market, as developers can leverage a massive user base to build and deploy agentic AI solutions. While the new standard is still a developer preview and hasn't undergone formal security audits, it holds promise for the network's potential recovery.
