Tokenization of Real-World Assets Surpasses $30 Billion

The tokenization of real-world assets has reached significant milestones, with nearly $30 billion in total value under management. This growth is largely driven by institutional adoption, as asset-backed credit and specialty finance are scaling faster than retail-facing segments such as commodities and stocks.

According to Chainalysis, the blockchain analytics firm that tracks on-chain activity, asset-backed credit reached $1 billion in about 6.1 months, while specialty finance took 21.5 months. Commodities needed 36.2 months, and tokenized stocks have yet to reach that mark.

The growth of the RWA market is also evident in Ethereum wallet data, with a sharp increase in wallets created specifically to receive tokenized assets. This development matters for asset managers, trading desks, issuers, and infrastructure providers as adoption patterns are shifting with the market's expansion.
