Fluid Introduces aWETH Redemption Protocol for ETH Borrowers

DeFi protocol Fluid has introduced the aWETH redemption protocol to mitigate systemic risks associated with high ETH utilization on platforms like Aave.

The protocol enables ETH borrowers to redeem their funds into stablecoins, specifically wstETH or weETH, thereby reducing liquidation risks and increasing liquidity.

This solution is particularly relevant for users who have only borrowed ETH, as they can redeem in full. For those with ETH collateral and other debt, the collateral will automatically convert to wstETH or weETH while the debt remains unchanged.

Fluid has collaborated with Lido Finance, EtherFi, and other ecosystem partners to implement this protocol, which is designed to reduce DeFi systemic risks, alleviate usage pressure, and promote a healthier market.
