Toss Bank Joins Forces with Solana Foundation on Blockchain Remittances

Toss Bank, an internet-only bank in South Korea, has partnered with the Solana Foundation to develop blockchain-based cross-border payment infrastructure.

The partnership aims to create a faster and more cost-efficient way for international remittances using the Solana network.

Toss Bank will test the technical feasibility of stablecoin transfers on the Solana network in the initial phase, with later stages including overseas partners and assessing compliance requirements.

The bank currently supports seven major currencies across 30 countries through its international remittance business launched in January.
