Web3 Industry Faces Talent Access Challenge: Over 54% of Aspiring Professionals Struggle to Land First Job
The Web3 industry is facing a significant workforce challenge, according to a recent report from Bitget. The company's Web3 Next-Gen Talent Intelligence Report found that over 54% of aspiring professionals struggle to land their first job due to prior experience requirements for junior positions. This finding suggests that the sector has a talent access challenge rather than a talent shortage.
The report, conducted under Bitget's Blockchain4Youth initiative, surveyed early-career professionals across multiple regions and found that 52% of respondents felt that their education provided theoretical knowledge but lacked practical job-ready skills. The study also highlighted the importance of emerging markets in shaping the future of the Web3 workforce, with nearly half of all respondents coming from Nigeria, Indonesia, and China.
Bitget CEO Gracy Chen stated, 'The industry has succeeded in attracting talent globally. The challenge now is converting talent into employment.' The report emphasizes that closing this gap will be critical for the next phase of industry growth.
