Binance Australia Enforces Full User ID Verification for All Crypto Transfers
The Australian cryptocurrency market is set for a significant shift as Binance Australia introduces enhanced identity verification requirements for all crypto transfers from July 1, 2026.
Under the new policy, users will be required to provide the real names, countries of residence, and addresses of both the sender and receiver for each transfer. This move is in line with the country's adoption of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Travel Rule, which aims to combat money laundering and terrorist financing.
The policy applies to every transaction, regardless of amount, effectively ending the ability to send or receive crypto anonymously through the exchange.
