Crypto VC Funding Hits Near Two-Year Low Amid Ongoing Market Volatility
Crypto venture capitalist funding experienced a significant drop in April, reaching its lowest point since July 2024. According to data from Cryptorank, the total funding for the month stood at $659 million across 63 rounds, a decline of 74% from March's figure of $2.6 billion.
The downward trend continues, with monthly VC funding decreasing since October 2025. The global crypto market capitalization has also declined by 37%, as reported by CoinGlass data.
Decentralized finance protocols remained the most popular investment category in April, attracting 12 funding rounds. Blockchain services and AI-linked projects followed closely with eight rounds each.
