Crypto VC Funding Sees Notable Growth in Q1 2026 Amid Shift in Market Dynamics
Crypto venture capitalists have seen a notable influx of capital in Q1 2026, despite a decline in deal volume.
According to a report by CryptoRank's Fundraising Digest, $9.26 billion was raised across nearly 280 deals in the quarter, marking a 13.6% year-over-year surge.
This growth is largely attributed to late-stage funding, which saw a significant spike in Series C+ rounds. These rounds increased by 320% quarter-over-quarter and 1,020% year-over-year, denoting 28.4% of the cumulative venture capital.
Early-stage funding, on the other hand, experienced a substantial decline, with Pre-Seed investments dropping by 38.1% and Strategic rounds falling by 60.5%. Despite this, early-stage classes still led in terms of deal volume.
