At Consensus 2026, Pi Network co-founders Dr. Chengdiao Fan and Nicolas Kokkalis took center stage to promote the upcoming Protocol 23 launch on May 11. The highly anticipated event marks a significant milestone for the network, introducing full smart contract functionality to the Pi blockchain for the first time.
The protocol's activation is expected to drive utility and adoption in the crypto space, leveraging the network's extensive identity verification efforts. With over 18 million verified users and 526 million completed KYC validation tasks, Pi Network has established a robust foundation for its ecosystem.
