Hoskinson Seeks Cardano Governance Overhaul Amid Funding Disputes
Cardano's Charles Hoskinson has proposed a governance overhaul for the blockchain network. The changes aim to address 'governance gridlock' and funding disputes within the ecosystem.
Hoskinson wants to create a moderated Discord platform and a coordinated Delegated Representative voting group. This would help to streamline decision-making and reduce conflicts over funding proposals.
As part of the proposal, Hoskinson plans to automatically vote 'no' on all funding requests unless they join and participate in the governance Discord.
The network is currently facing over 600 million ADA in funding requests, which exceeds its 350 million ADA net change limit. This has led to growing disputes over governance and funding within the Cardano ecosystem.
