Bitcoin and Alts Rise on US-Iran Peace Talks Progress
Crypto markets are experiencing a moderate rebound on Monday, led by Bitcoin's reclaiming of support above $64,000.
The progress in US-Iran peace talks is seen as a contributing factor to this uptick in prices. The first round of negotiations in Switzerland has yielded a preliminary framework for a lasting peace agreement, with the US agreeing to grant a waiver to ease sanctions on Iranian oil exports.
Ethereum and XRP are also showing some signs of recovery, but remain under pressure from their respective moving averages. Ethereum is currently trading above $1,700, while XRP has reclaimed its support level at $1.13.
The Fear & Greed Index, however, remains in the Extreme Fear territory, suggesting that sentiment is still cautious. The index holds at 20 on Monday, down from 23 the previous day.
