Spacecoin Pioneers Decentralized Internet Network for Space-Based Data Centers

Spacecoin is a pioneering project that seeks to revolutionize global telecommunications by developing a decentralized internet network based on a constellation of blockchain-enabled satellites in low-Earth orbit.

The network aims to establish a shared, interoperable layer for the orbital economy, enabling disparate orbital assets to efficiently exchange information and potentially laying the groundwork for an interconnected space economy.

Spacecoin's solution addresses the issue of centralized choke points in terrestrial connectivity, which leaves approximately 2.6 billion people offline while creating bottlenecks for connected users.

The project has made significant progress, with the launch of its first satellite, CTC-0, in December 2024 and the deployment of three additional satellites, CTC-1, in November 2025. These satellites have enabled testing of intersatellite links, a critical technology for direct satellite-to-satellite communication.
