Cybercriminals Exploit Google Ads to Deceive Cryptocurrency Investors

Cybercriminals have devised a sophisticated advertising campaign on Google Search, creating counterfeit advertisements that mimic Uniswap, a widely-used decentralized cryptocurrency exchange platform.

The operation has resulted in the theft of no less than $400,000 from unsuspecting users who interacted with these fraudulent links. The attackers use authentic-appearing URLs and concealed iframes to evade automated security systems.

According to blockchain intelligence analyst 'b-block', a counterfeit Uniswap platform was systematically depleting funds from numerous digital wallets.
