Ethereum is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping crypto markets in 2025, with institutional investors increasingly focusing on tokenization. Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan has labeled Ethereum the 'leading play' on both stablecoins and tokenization, citing its structural edge and dominance in the market.

With 61.4% of all tokenized assets already running on Ethereum's rails, the lead is substantial. The $206.2 billion in tokenized value covers a range of financial instruments, including stablecoins, funds, real-world assets, and other securities that have migrated on-chain.
