Coinbase Migrates Massive SHIB Stake Amid Wallet Reorganization
Coinbase has conducted three large transactions involving more than 1.16 trillion Shiba Inu tokens, sparking attention from on-chain observers.
The transfers, which took place within a 30-minute window, totaled 242.13 billion SHIB, 348.08 billion SHIB, and 573 billion SHIB respectively, according to blockchain data from Arkham Intelligence.
The transactions did not pass through the spot market order book but rather involved moving tokens from Coinbase's Prime Custody wallets to newly created addresses with no prior transaction history.
This suggests that the transfers were internal and related to wallet reorganization rather than customer-driven market transactions.
Coinbase has not explicitly commented on the reason behind these large transfers, but analysts suggest it may be an operational wallet reallocation aimed at strengthening security and improving liquidity management.
