Global Cryptocurrency Prices Plummet Amid Q1 Expiry and Iran Conflict

The past seven days have been marked by a considerable decline in global cryptocurrency prices. BTC opened at $71,000 on March 25 but dropped to its lowest point of the week at $65,720 on March 27 following Q1 end-of-quarter options expiry and rising tensions in Iran. Although it partially recovered by March 31, reaching around $66,290-$67,600, this represents a significant decrease from its October 2025 all-time high.

ETH also experienced a substantial drop, breaking below the $2,000 mark for the first time since mid-2024 on March 28. It managed to recover some of its losses by March 31 but remains 60% below its August 2025 high.
