Latvia Leads Baltic States in Cryptocurrency Adoption
A recent survey has found that Latvia has the highest percentage of residents interested in cryptocurrency compared to its neighboring countries.
According to the survey, over 15% of men and 9% of women in Latvia own cryptocurrencies, with a total value of approximately 833 million euros. This is significantly higher than Estonia, which has an interest rate of 8.7%
The association noted that Latvia also has the highest percentage of female participation in the cryptocurrency market among the Baltic and Nordic countries, particularly among women aged 18 to 29.
The most popular cryptocurrencies in Latvia are Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Tether. Interest in crypto assets is growing not only among the youth but also in older age groups, with 13% of residents aged 40 to 49 acquiring cryptocurrency in 2026, an increase from 10% the previous year.
