Malaysia Investigates Network School Over Second Passport Allegations

Malaysian authorities have launched an investigation into Balaji Srinivasan's Network School, a co-living and co-working space in Forest City, Johor. The probe follows social media allegations that Israeli nationals were using second passports to enter the country, despite Malaysia not recognizing Israeli travel documents.

The Network School is based on Srinivasan's 'network state' concept, which envisions digitally connected communities forming their own quasi-independent governance structures and economies. The program offers three-month residential stints for a membership fee starting at $1,500 per month, with access to facilities and meals. It also accepts cryptocurrency payments.

Malaysia's Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi has directed federal agencies to verify the identities of participants and their compliance with local laws. The investigation extends beyond passports to licensing, land use, and education regulations.
