Bybit Reports Record Growth in Crypto Adoption and Utilization

Bybit, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, has reported significant growth in crypto adoption and utilization in 2025. According to CEO Ben Zhou, the number of global crypto owners increased by 16% during the year, reaching an ownership rate of 8.7%. This trend is evident not only in the crypto market but also in traditional finance (TradFi), where the number of firms onboarding crypto has doubled.

The expansion of stablecoins for payments has been a notable development, with volumes settling double that of major traditional payment networks over 12 months. Crypto adoption is particularly pronounced in unbanked regions, where it provides easy participation in finance and drops geopolitical barriers to access.
