U.S. President Donald Trump reaffirmed his support for cryptocurrency during a recent speech, stating that America must stay ahead in the digital asset market to avoid being surpassed by China.

In an interview, Trump emphasized the need for American leadership in cryptocurrency, citing the growth and potential of the industry.

'I'm a big crypto guy only for one reason,' Trump said. 'If we don't have it, China is going to have it. They would like to have it.'

Trump's comments come as stablecoin transactions reached a historic high of $1.79 trillion in June, with USDT and USDC leading the way in circulation.
