Coinbase Expands into Tokenized Stock Trading and Options

Coinbase is expanding its services to become a one-stop-shop for finance, aiming to provide users with a platform for trading, investing, and borrowing.

The company announced new features and products on Tuesday, including tokenized stock trading with automatic dividend payments, options trading for crypto and equities, and the ability to borrow against staked Solana.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said that these offerings will provide 'real 1:1 backed tokenized stocks you can trust,' allowing users to hold actual chunks of companies on-chain.

The firm's Credit Card, Coinbase One, is also getting a boost with increased Bitcoin rewards and the ability to be used for travel bookings through its new portal powered by Rocket Travel by Agoda.
