SharpLink Joins Prestigious Indexes Amid Growing Institutional Interest in Crypto Treasury Firms
SharpLink has achieved a major breakthrough in its expansion into Ethereum-based treasury management, as the company has been included in the Russell 2000 and Russell 3000 indexes. The addition is expected to increase shareholder participation and further establish SharpLink's position as an institutional-grade Ethereum treasury platform.
The inclusion in the Russell indexes comes after a significant revenue growth for SharpLink, with quarterly earnings reaching $12.1 million compared to $0.7 million in the same period last year. However, the company also reported a net loss of $685.6 million due to non-cash impairments and unrealized declines tied to its Ethereum holdings.
The Russell indexes are widely tracked by institutional funds and exchange-traded products, making SharpLink's inclusion a significant development in the crypto space. The company's CEO, Joseph Shalom, stated that this recognition supports SharpLink's position as an institutional-grade Ethereum treasury platform.
