Cardano Founder Tests Zero-Knowledge Wallet Recovery Smart Contract

Charles Hoskinson has started working on an experimental zero-knowledge wallet recovery smart contract for Cardano. This system would allow users to claim ADA and Cardano Native Tokens (CNTs) from a recovery pool by proving ownership of their wallet's 24-word recovery phrase through a zero-knowledge proof.

The concept aims to verify ownership without exposing the recovery phrase itself, replacing trusted custodians in white-hat recoveries. According to Hoskinson, 'the blockchain becomes the custodian.'

Hoskinson plans to work with Quantumplation, Sebastien Guillemot, and the Midnight team as development progresses. This project is part of Cardano's ongoing efforts despite a difficult market environment.
