Retail Attention for Bitcoin and Ethereum Hits 12-Month Low

Mentions of Bitcoin and Ethereum on the X platform have reached a 12-month low. Data from Bitget shows that there were approximately 130,000 posts about Bitcoin and around 40,000 for Ethereum in recent times.

This decline in retail attention mirrors what was seen back in 2020 when institutional interest in crypto was still in its early stages. At that time, tokenization had not yet become a hot topic at major conferences or in traditional financial media.

Analysts point out that tweet volume serves as an indicator for retail investor attention. According to the data, retail interest has returned to 2020 levels while institutional engagement is rising.
