Strategy Overtakes IBIT in Bitcoin Holdings, Closes In On Satoshi

Galaxy Digital's head of research, Alex Thorn, has made a notable observation about the growing cryptocurrency market. According to on-chain and treasury-tracking data, Strategy has surpassed BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) in terms of Bitcoin holdings, making it the largest single BTC-holding entity.

The comparison is significant, as IBIT is the world's biggest spot Bitcoin ETF by assets. In contrast, Strategy's treasury now holds an estimated 760,000 BTC or more, having added roughly 80,000 BTC year-to-date. If current accumulation trends continue, analysts predict that Strategy could reach Satoshi Nakamoto's estimated 1.1 million BTC stash within the next couple of years.
